ABOUT

Hi, my name is John Riedel.  I'm 22 years old and I'm the founder of DogGo!

Let me tell you a little bit about myself.  I grew up in Edina, Minnesota and went to college for a year at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT.  After a year at MSU, I returning to Minnesota for a year and a half. From there, I moved to Denver, Colorado where I lived for two years.  I love Colorado, but decided to relocate to Savannah, Georgia to live with my mom and save some money and pursue my dream of being a small business owner.

Some of my hobbies are down-hill skiing, hiking, camping, and 4x4ing.  I climbed the Grand Tetons in Jackson Hole, Wyoming with my dad when I was a senior in high school (just as he had done with his dad when he was a senior.)  I hiked two 14,000 ft peaks in Colorado while I lived in Denver. I love the mountains; the way people here love the ocean. Some other hobbies of mine are video games, music, and hanging out with people.

The idea of DogGo! first came to me about two years ago in Denver, Colorado when I was out of work and I wanted to start up my own company.  I was living with a friend who owned a miniature poodle named Joey, (pictured right.) I watched him about once a month when she went on business trips.  I decided I could do this for a living!

At the time it wasn't a practical investment to start my own company, so I got a job working for an HVAC company and was content, but I knew that wasn't my passion. I moved into an apartment with a friend in October 2017 that has a cat named Luna (pictured left) who is a very crazy dog-like cat, but a total sweetheart. I knew I could expand DogGo to more than just dogs. After Thanksgiving of 2017, I started working everyday on DogGO. I quickly realized I have a passion and drive to be a small business owner. This is what sparked the beginning of DogGo.
